Mountains & Sea: Explore The Diversity Of Uruguay And Argentina

Fri, October 20, 2023 (6:30 PM - 9:30 PM)

Cost: $85.00

While neighbors, winegrowing in Argentina and Uruguay have had a divergent history and contrasting climates for winegrowing. Uruguay’s wine regions show strong Atlantic influence with compelling Tannat, Albarino, and Chardonnay reflecting a bright salinity and elegance. In Argentina, Mendoza’s dry, sunny climate and high-altitude vineyards offer the perfect conditions for ripening Bordeaux varieties, especially distinctive Malbec. After a recent trip to both countries, instructor Aileen Sevier – DipWSET & MW Candidate – cannot wait to share her stories and wine discoveries with you.

This class is taught on Zoom, with wine samples available for curbside pickup by appointment on Thursday, October 19 from 12:00pm – 5:00pm.
