Southwestern France is one of the country’s most diverse and least predictable wine regions—home to rugged reds, fresh whites, and an extraordinary range of indigenous grape varieties. In this class, we’ll explore the wines of Cahors, Madiran, Gaillac, Fronton, and beyond, tasting styles shaped by varied climates, soils, and centuries-old traditions that sit outside the Bordeaux spotlight. Expect bold flavors, distinctive grapes, and a deeper understanding of why Southwest France remains one of France’s most compelling regions for curious wine lovers.
Participants may choose to attend in person at the Capital Wine School or virtually on Zoom.
