The lineup of wines will be finalized at a time closer to the event, but is expected to be similar to this list, or better:

2023 Mericana, Single clone Cabernet  $119

2022 OenSpire, 3 Clone Cabernet $139

2023 Oentrepid "X", 6 Clone Cabernet $165

2022 Ch. Marie LaRose, Left Bank Blend using "A" ENTAV clones  $139

2023 "The Initiate", Right Bank Blend using primarily Merlot $139

2020 "Colos", 100% Tempranillo at avg. 2 clusters per vine  $285

 All wines are made from 100% Texas grapes.

 During this tasting, our host from the winery will discuss such topics as:

 1) How the number of clusters per vine controls the level of concentration of flavor and aromatics;

 2) How grape genetics control which flavor compounds are made by each variety;

 3) How processing technology has radically changed wine styles over the last 30 years.

 Inwood Estates Vineyards was founded by Dan Gatlin, one of Texas' earliest pioneers in wine. Dan has now completed 45 growing seasons in Texas viticulture and has 50 years total experience in the wine industry including his work as a buyer in Europe and California. Inwood is most known for its pioneering work with Tempranillo but is primarily focused on Cabernet and all Bordeaux varietals today. Dan is most known for his pro-science views advocating genetics and plant physiology as more precise replacements for the traditional concept of terroir.

 Inwood Estates routinely produces some of Texas’ most highly rated wines, commanding the highest prices in the marketplace.

After the presentation, there will be light charcuterie. Glasses of wine or bottles will be available for purchase, but there is no obligation to buy.

Come and join us for this deep dive into grape growing and wine making with one of the most prominent wineries in Texas! You may bring guests. Non-members are welcome to come to this event. Please click the above link to sign up and also RSVP to Kathy Buehner at kbuehner@hotmail.com or Charlene Tribble at cgtribble3@outlook.com, so that we know that you are coming.
