Experience an extraordinary mid-day wine tasting led by Six Test Kitchen Sommelier John Seals and Master Sommelier, Josh Orr — this edition celebrating the highly coveted, “cult” wines of Sadie Family Wines from South Africa’s Swartland region. Join us for an intimate journey through a curated flight of rare and iconic selections from one of the most influential and sought-after producers in the Southern Hemisphere.
Since its founding in 1999 by visionary winemaker Eben Sadie, Sadie Family Wines has redefined South African wine with a minimal-intervention philosophy and an obsessive focus on terroir and old vines. What began with tiny production runs of flagship wines like Columella (a Syrah/Mourvèdre blend that helped place South Africa on the global fine wine map) and Palladius (a textural white blend) has grown into a portfolio of wines that collectors and sommeliers around the world chase with zeal. Their limited bottlings — often in extremely small quantities — consistently see allocations sold out quickly and command passionate followings among enthusiasts, earning Sadie a truly cult status in the international wine community.
At this event, guests will explore an exceptional lineup of Sadie Family wines — from the estate’s signature blends that define Swartland’s expressive potential to rare single-vineyard bottlings from historic old vines — all presented with thoughtful guidance to inspire discovery and delight.
A light charcuterie offering will accompany the tasting. Please note: this is a wine-focused tasting event and not part of our regular dinner service. Seating is limited and requires a reservation.
You will be able to purchase the wines tasted on the day of the event.
