A special evening of kosher dining brings together three culinary talents for a dinner rooted in tradition, resilience, creativity, and the joy of gathering around the table. Alon Shaya, Sivan Kobi, and Olivia Ostrow join forces for an intimate collaboration at Maison Ostrow, featuring recipes from Shaya’s new book, Memories of a Good Meal: Recipes of Resilience Inspired by Stories of World War II Survival.
Born in Israel and raised in Philadelphia, Shaya is the chef and restaurateur behind Pomegranate Hospitality, with a culinary style deeply influenced by his Israeli roots and his life in New Orleans. His new book explores the powerful connection between food and memory through recipes inspired by stories of World War II survival, bringing an added layer of meaning to this special evening. Joining him are Sivan Kobi and Olivia Ostrow, who bring their own perspectives to a dinner designed to showcase the depth, creativity, and enduring traditions of kosher cuisine.
Located in North Bay Village, Maison Ostrow offers an intimate setting for an evening centered on food’s remarkable ability to preserve stories, connect generations, and bring people together. The chefs will create a multi-course kosher dinner featuring recipes from Shaya’s new book alongside their own culinary perspectives, honoring the past while making plenty of room for creativity at the table.
