Oregon’s Willamette Valley has emerged as one of the world’s premier Pinot Noir regions, prized for wines that balance old-world elegance with distinctly Pacific Northwest character. In this class, we’ll explore the region’s diverse sub-AVAs — from Dundee Hills to Eola-Amity — and taste through examples that showcase how soil, elevation, and clone selection shape style. We’ll also examine what sets Oregon Pinot apart from its Burgundian and Californian counterparts, and why it’s captured such critical acclaim over the past two decades.

The tasting lineup will be announced closer to the event, once final selections are confirmed.

This class will be held in person at the Capital Wine School. Please note that the building in which we are located does not have an elevator, and there are several sets of stairs to navigate to get to our classrooms on the second floor.

To ensure a quality experience for all participants, each class or course requires a minimum number of registrations. If this minimum is not met, we may need to cancel the session. In such cases, registered students will be notified as soon as possible and provided with options for rescheduling or a full refund.

By purchasing your ticket(s), you agree to our payment, refund, cancellation, and reschedule policy.
