We’re excited to be coming back to Fonda Fora, inside the beautiful boutique Westley Hotel, the dining concept from the folks who brought us the excellent Native Tongues and Calcutta Cricket Club!
We ran three Vine & Dine dinners each year in 2021, 2022, and 2023 - and every single one sold out - this is not your average Calgary Mexican restaurant! Chef Jhonattan has over 21 years of experience in the culinary industry. He has worked in renowned restaurants all throughout Mexico, and became one of the pioneers in the gastronomy scene on Holbox Island, where he lived and worked for four years.
Fonda Fora is a nod to the celebrated fondas found throughout Mexico. “Fonda” is used to describe a range of restaurants, from classic white tablecloth dining to modern, chef-driven restaurants. “Fora” is the plural of forum, is a place to gather and enjoy an incredible meal amongst friends.
Fonda Fora’s food is not your average North American vision of Mexican cuisine; it’s regional and upscale - and absolutely delicious!
