Please join us for our second event of the 2026 dinner season at North County Wine Company in San Marcos. For our May event, we are excited to share selections from Monterey's Joyce Wine Co. Joyce Wine Co. focuses on organic practices in farming and practicing sustainability in all aspects of production. With a dedicated to producing wines of place, Joyce produces wines that are a reflection of the terroir and not the cellar. Believing that all additives, such as acidification, enzymes, cultured yeast and cultured bacteria should be avoided at all costs the goal is a pursuit of the greatest expression of terroir. Their ultimate goal is to create wines that are a transparent reflection of Monterey County. North County Wine Co. owner, Jim Tobin will be presenting the wines this time around. He'll share insights on the Monterey wine region, winemaking, and the rich history at Joyce. You won't want to miss this memorable evening of wine, food and conversation from Jim and Chef Erin!


Please note, this will be an outdoor event, a light sweater or jacket is recommended.


Each selection will be paired with its own wine inspired dinner course, prepared by Chef Erin Sealy. Chef Erin specializes in pairing food with wine, with a slightly different approach than most. Prior to creating a menu, each wine is tasted and reviewed and then she creates a food pairing, highlighting the nuances of each wine. This concept creates a dinner and pairing experience with layers of complexity and unique creations which exemplify the enjoyment of each wine. With a passion for food and wine, Chef Erin delights attendees with a detailed account of the pairing concept and cooking techniques that create each course. Burrata, Melon and Arugula Salad with Black Truffle Olive Oil Drizzle, Fresh Berries and Spirulina Sea Salt

 

2024 Joyce Wine Co. Submarine Canyon Chardonnay

Savory Custard with Thyme, Gruyere and Pulled Crab. Served with Minced Chive and House Crostini

 

2023 Joyce Wine Co. Submarine Canyon Pinot Noir

Chef Erin’s Maple Bourbon Bacon Broiled Salmon served in Brown Butter Fennel Puree with Roasted Baby Potatoes and Charred Cherry Tomatoes and Drizzled with Chimichurri

Herbed Panko Crusted Pork Tenderloin topped with Spiced Cherry + Kalamata Reduction. Served with Wild Rice + Lebanese Couscous Mélange and Wilted Greens
