We are very excited to announce a new venue AND the return of spirit dinners! We are thrilled to partner with Baja Rick's Cantina in Downtown San Diego. Situated across for the convention center, this venue provides a beautiful outdoor seating environment, with the ability to move in doors, if needed. We've ensured our schedule does not coincide with any big conventions nor Padres games and scheduled the start time to allow guests to utilize metered parking. This new partnership will allow us to bring back spirit dinners! As a nod to Baja Rick's roots, we're kicking off our first event with a fantastic tequila dinner, but are planning for whiskey and more in the coming months. Please join us in welcoming back these exciting events!
For our first spirit dinner, we will feature exceptional tequilas from Casa Noble and sister brand, Mi Campo. These distinctive tequilas will be presented by Tequila expert and brand ambassador, Bianca Sterling. As a special treat, each guest will a Casa Noble Glencairn tasting glass at the end of the event. Chef Erin has crafted an exceptional seasonal pairing menu with to accentuate each selection. Casa Noble is a premium, certified organic 100% Blue Weber Agave tequila, triple-distilled for a smooth finish. Produced in Jalisco, Mexico, at La Cofradía (NOM 1137), it features agave-forward notes with honey and citrus, aged in French Limousin oak. It is known for its high-quality, long-matured agave and consistent accolades. Mi Campo is bold and bursting with artistry, blending Mexican and American cultures with contemporary innovation—resulting in a tequila that tastes as good at it looks. Mi CAMPO crafts its tequila by gently squeezing the agave piñas (never crushing them!) to extract rich, flavorful juices without bitterness. After fermentation, the tequila is aged in Napa Valley wine barrels, resulting in an impeccably smooth taste. Expect a very fun evening of wine and food conversation from both Bianca and Chef Erin. Each selection will be paired with its own tequila inspired dinner course, prepared by Chef Erin Sealy. Chef Erin specializes in pairing food with spirits, with a slightly different approach than most. Prior to creating a menu, each selection is tasted and reviewed and then she creates a food pairing, highlighting the nuances of each spirit. This concept creates a dinner and pairing experience with layers of complexity and unique creations which exemplify the enjoyment of each tequila. With a passion for food, wine and spirits, Chef Erin delights attendees with a detailed account of the pairing concept and cooking techniques that create each course.
