Bordeaux is the benchmark by which much of the wine world measures itself — but its scale and complexity can be daunting to newcomers. In this class, we’ll cut through the noise with ten carefully chosen wines that trace the region’s essential story: the Left Bank/Right Bank divide, the Cabernet–Merlot blending tradition, the role of the 1855 Classification, and the influence of terroir across appellations like Margaux, Pauillac, Saint-Émilion, and Pomerol. By the end, you’ll have a practical framework for navigating Bordeaux with confidence — whether you’re shopping, dining out, or building a cellar.

The tasting lineup will be announced closer to the event, once final selections are confirmed.

This class will be held in person at the Capital Wine School. Please note that the building in which we are located does not have an elevator, and there are several sets of stairs to navigate to get to our classrooms on the second floor.

To ensure a quality experience for all participants, each class or course requires a minimum number of registrations. If this minimum is not met, we may need to cancel the session. In such cases, registered students will be notified as soon as possible and provided with options for rescheduling or a full refund.

By purchasing your ticket(s), you agree to our payment, refund, cancellation, and reschedule policy.
