Purchasing Juice For Wine Making

I was wondering if you knew of a place locally Raleigh area, to buy California juice for wine making. I have been going to Baltimore area and buying 6 gallon buckets, but would like to know if I could do it locally. Or buy grapes?
Answer From Expert Roger Bohmrich MW

I have fielded a number of questions about home winemaking, which is not my area of expertise as I have spent my life in the commercial wine business. But in checking possible sources for you, I have found only one in the Southeast: Grape Stompers in Laurel Spring, NC (grapestompers.com). They don't mention juice as such but do offer kits with concentrate. You might also want to look into Presque Isle Wine Cellars (piwine.com) in northwestern Pennsylvania. They sell fresh juices from California, Australia, Italy and Chile as well as concentrates. There are similar outlets around the USA for supplies and equipment who no doubt would ship to you. Hope this might point you in the right direction.
