Greetings From The Philippines!

Would like to seek your opinion on what would be the best bread & cheese to compliment fruit wines? Here in the Philippines, we have local producers who are trying out strawberry, black plum and mango wines. Your recommendations will be highly appreciated. Many thanks! Cheers! Ibsky Romero
Answer From Expert Roger Bohmrich MW

I am assuming that these fruit wines have sweetness to some degree. Is that correct? If so, they might be compatible with blue cheeses such as Roquefort, Stilton or Gorgonzola piccante. You'll just have to try each one with the cheeses to find out if you are happy with the combinations. If not, you might want to serve these wines with appropriate desserts, particularly those that feature fruit in some form.
