Bordeaux Mix...up

What grape has the most plantings in Bordeaux?
Answer From Expert Roger Bohmrich MW

While most people would say that the most planted grape in Bordeaux must be Cabernet Sauvignon, it is Merlot, in fact. Merlot is the main component of the very large volume of basic Bordeaux reds, and it is the mainstay of wines from St Emilion and Pomerol along with many other appellations.
