60 days before start or tour date. This is a very small custom curated group tour of 12 maximum guests designed for exclusive settings and exceptional service.

All transporation*, Hotels and Breakfast inclusive. 

***Includes a welcome reception, Chilean Asado bbq buffet with wine, a gourmet four course wine and food pairing lunch with Sommelier. A total of 7 winery/tours and/or tastings, some with lunches, one star gazing tour at Viña Santa Cruz ** .and 2 private walking tours.

Daily Itinerary:

 Day One: Arrive in Santiago and check-in at our **Hotel Sommelier boutique www.sommelierboutique.cl in the Belle Artes and Barrio Lastarria area, meet and greet at 6pm on the rooftop for a welcome reception with wine and light hors d’oeuves. Dinner will be on your own with lots of great restaurants in the neighborhood. 

 Lunch and Dinner on your own.

 

Day Two: Hotel breakfast then off on our scenic tour of historical landmarks and monuments of Santiago, Cerro Santa Lucía, the Mercado Central and scenic neighborhoods, ending at the Barrio Bellavista for lunch (on your own) at one of the dozens of eateries with a little time to shop in the area! We then return to our coach and head off to Santa Cruz and the Colchagua Valley. Breathtaking views of the Andes on the way!  , **or similar]   where a traditional Chilean Asado (Barbecue)dinner

Day Three: Breakfast at Hotel then off to the vineyards!! We will visit Viu Manent  http://viumanent.cl/en/  for an “ebike” tour or a horse drawn carriage ride through the vineyards followed by a customized 4 course Sommelier lead, wine and food pairing Lunch. After lunch we return to the hotel for some R & R. At dusk we head to Viña Santa Cruz to take a cable car up to Cerro Chaman. A stunning view of the vineyards will accompany us on this journey into the past where we will see picturesque replicas of Mapuche, Aymara and Rapa Nui homes. In the ruca you can taste the Chaman Reserva in the good company of all the aromas that impregnate this magical place.

At nightfall and in the meteorite room (which has more than 100 pieces on display), with a video that fully explains the astronomical knowledge of the three inspirational cultures.

You will finish this visit with a unique experience: Observing through advanced telescopes the same stars that their ancestors looked at the imposing sky of Colchagua.

Day Four: Breakfast at Hotel, then off to the plaza at Santa Cruz where traditional artisans gather and sell their textiles and goods. Another option is to visit the Museo Colchagua across the street from the plaza:

 After that we head out to visit three wineries for tastings in the Apalta Valley. Wineries such as Neyen winery http://neyen.cl/en/ , Clos Apalta http://www.closapalta.com/ , or Viña Ventisquero http://www.vinaventisquero.com/en/ , or Viña Maquis https://www.maquis.cl/en/quienes-somos/***  (as available). Breakfast and a late afternoon picnic included. Dinner on your own.


Day Five: Breakfast at Hotel, board our coach and depart for Valparaiso. First stop is at Viña Chocalán in the Maipo Valley, https://chocalanwines.com/web/eng/  to enjoy a tour, tasting and picnic lunch at Quincho “El Origen”, where we will enjoy an amazing picnic lunch under the cool shade of the Quillayes trees. After lunch we stop in a small traditional village, Pomaire, known for its artisanal pottery shops. You’ll have time to shop and enjoy a coffee or afternoon cerveza in the village plaza with many outdoor cafes to choose from. Enjoy an intimate gourmet dinner at our Hotel's exclusive restaurant, Ápice or dine out on your own at dozens of local neighborhood eateries with many varied cuisines. Recommendations available. Breakfast and Lunch included. Dinner on your own.


Day Six: Hotel breakfast followed by a private guide leading us on a walking tour around Valparaíso . After that you will have free time to explore or take one of the extra optional excursions offered. (details of excursions on request). Breakfast included,

Day Seven: Hotel breakfast then a free day in Valparaíso. Several optional excursions (*must be booked ahead for additional charge), example, an afternoon horseback ride in the Precordillera https://www.campesano.com

 around the coastal hills of Valparaiso or Wine Maker for a Day (*must be booked ahead for additional charge).

You will blend and bottle your own wine with a customized label at Emiliana Winery in the Casablanca Valley, or one of their tasting tours, (also for an additional charge). Breakfast included, Lunch and Dinner on your own.


Day Eight: Hotel breakfast and time to depart, our last day before heading back to the airport. We'll stop at one of our favorite Casablanca Valley wineries. i.e., Casa del Bosque

Valparaíso "Cultural Capital of Chile"

  • Valparaíso was declared a World Heritage Site in 2003. Built upon dozens of steep hillsides overlooking the Pacific Ocean, Valparaíso has a labyrinth of streets and cobblestone alleyways, embodying a rich architectural and cultural legacy. Valparaíso is protected as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We will have a private walking tour on Day 6 of our tour and hear the history and stories behind this fascinating city!


Terms and Conditions

**some substitutions may be scheduled according to availability of locations, events and seasonal adjustments. Everyone who attends a Wine Flights Travel Tour is required to sign a liability release form. Deposit and final balance paid within 60 days of start of tour are NON REFUNDABLE. (pre payments are required months in advance to secure hotel rooms and tours.)

**Travel insurance is highly recommended. If tour is canceled or delayed/rescheduled due to COVID-19 lockdowns you can choose to receive a refund of your balance payment and your deposit will be valid for any future tour with Wine Flight Travel Tours.
