Cara Patricia is Co-Founder, Brand & Creative Director, and CEO of DECANT Bottle Shop & Bar, a natural and small-production wine retail and bar concept with locations in San Francisco and Napa Valley. Since founding DECANT in 2018, she has led brand strategy, creative direction, community programming, and direct-to-consumer initiatives across both locations, producing hundreds of experiential activations over the years.
Cara holds Advanced Sommelier credentials from the Court of Master Sommeliers and is a Certified Wine Professional from the Culinary Institute of America — where she completed the Accelerated Wine and Beverage Program in 2012. She also holds certifications as a French Wine Scholar, California Wine Appellation Specialist, and WSET Level 3.
Her career spans three-Michelin-star fine dining, luxury Champagne representation for Moët Hennessy, cellar management, import sales, and independent consulting. She has been a featured speaker at TEXSOM and a moderator at WINeFARe, and her work has been covered by the Wall Street Journal, Forbes, the San Francisco Chronicle, and Punch, among others.
