This Sunday, Pietro and I are digging into one of Italy’s craziest grapes Sagrantino. Get ready for the funk! Sagrantino is a rustic, full-throated expression of central Italian wine culture. There is no equal. Pietro will be pouring his Non-Vintage cuvee, while I present an up-and-coming biodynamic producer Fongoli. I am looking forward to tasting these side-by-side.
SPECIAL FOOD OPTION! This weeks tasting has a special addition!! Chef Alessandro Campitelli (former chef of Chiaroscuro, Contrasto) has created a beautiful menu for a la carte ordering. We highly recommend a little food to go along, and can think of nothing more appropriate than having a chef from central Italy prepare the meal!
