Zev Rovine Selections Featuring Adam Chibbane

Long before natural wine had a shelf of its own, Zev Rovine was selling it. He started his Brooklyn company in 2007 with a simple goal: work closely with growers who farm organically or biodynamically and make their wine with as little intervention as possible. Back then, "natural wine" meant nothing to most of the trade. Today it's a movement, and Zev is one of the people most responsible for bringing it to the U.S.

His portfolio has grown to more than 150 producers in countries from Canada to South Africa, including some of the defining names of the natural wine world: Frank Cornelissen on Etna, Gabrio Bini on Pantelleria, Alice Bouvot in the Jura, and Jean-Pierre Robinot in the Loire. Zev also keeps discovering new talent year after year. The wines vary widely, but the philosophy doesn't: great wine starts in the vineyard, and in the cellar, less is more. Many of them are made with nothing added at all.
