 Cost: $1,699: The cost includes all study materials, tuition, wine samples, examination fee, and postage charges.

Included with the cost of the course, a study and support program will be provided beyond the standard course program.

 The WSET Level 3 Award in Wines is designed for those who aspire to broaden their understanding of the world’s leading wines and master a systematic approach to tasting. This course is designed for trade professionals, wine collectors, and advanced enthusiasts ensuring they are knowledgeable consumers and collectors. It is especially valuable for those in wine trade supervisory roles or individuals aiming to progress to such positions, offering essential skills to advise on wine selections effectively. It deepens their comprehension of diverse international wines, enhancing their ability to assess quality and value. 

 This course provides a thorough understanding of the principal wines of the world and their commercial importance in the world market. Other areas of study include the natural factors and human processes in the vineyard and the winery that influence the style, quality and price of wines. Aditionally it covers the characteristics of the world’s major sparking, still, and fortified wines and how aspects of grape growing, winemaking, law and commerce contributing to the wines’ style, quality, and price. Also included in the course are details of wine service and storage relevant for advising customers and staff.  

 Whether you are looking to advance your career in the wine industry or simply wish to deepen your appreciation and understanding of wine, the WSET Level 3 Award in Wines at Midwest Wine Center provides the comprehensive education and critical tasting skills you need to achieve your goals.

 Course Format: 

32.5 hours of class time including a two and one-half-hour exam. The exam has two parts: a practical tasting of two blinded wines; and a written exam composed of 50 multiple-choice questions and four short-answer questions. WSET suggests a minimum of 84 hours of self-study for the exam.
