Some of our favorite Italian wines in the shop come from Maurizio Farro, a terrific local importer we've been working closely with for going on 18 years now. Maurizio takes the tasting table this Saturday to share his passion for wines of his homeland, including a wine made by his family - one of our favorite Falanghina for seafood of all time! Join Maurizio from noon-4pm on Saturday and get to know him and:

Cantine Farro Campi Flegrei Falanghina 2020 - You can see the Bay of Naples from the top of this volcanic vineyard. Taste the sea in the wine, too!

Cantina Del Rimedio Vermentino Di Sardegna Benas 2025 - Keeping with the taste of the sea here but with more fruit and a "sip me now" kind of vibe.

Cantina Del Rimedio Vermentino Di Sardegna Arutas 2025 - Take the salty, minerally, notes of the Benas, add some complexity and structure and lower the fruit volume from skin contact and you get this - seriously delicious.

Cantina del Rimedio Cannonau Maimone 2024 - An exceptionally delicious and useful fall-weight version of Sardinia's main red grape. Sure, it handles a stew or steak nicely but its seaside origins means it's going to shine with salmon or swordfish, too!

Piaggia Pietranera Toscana IGT 2023 - The 20% Merlot - a traditional grape here in the historic Medici family's vineyards west of Florence - adds herbal complexity to the juicy, supply, Sangiovese core.

Zyme Valpolicella Classico Superiore 2020 - Crazy good Valpolicella using the "Ripasso" technique to add richness and texture. Spicy, rich and velvety at the end, a wonderfully luxurious Italian red.
