Portlandia Big Believer Cabernet
Winemaker Notes: The 2023 harvest, was influenced by a cool start to the season and longer hang times, leading to excellent acidity and balance for Columbia Valley Cab harvest.
Tasting Notes: Bold character, showcasing a luxurious blend of ripe blackberry and pomegranate complemented by delicate hints of sweet spice and incense. Its plush, velvety structure is anchored by smooth, melting tannins.
Portlandia Pinot Noir
Winemaker Notes: We hand-selected lots from several sources throughout Oregon’s cooler wine-growing regions including 5% from the historic Hy land Vineyard in McMinnville, and 3% from Dundee Hills. After crush, we cold-fermented in open-top vats using hand punch downs and then aged for 10 months in 20% new French oak.
Tasting Notes: Inviting aromas of ripe Marionberry and cherry with a subtle note of baking spices. Rich flavors of blackberry cobbler are layered with accents of black tea, violets and a touch of savory herbs. A fresh acidity provides structure and balance through the lingering finish.
Broadside Chardonnay
Winemaker Notes: The Central Coast AVA experienced a mild growing season in 2022, after a late April frost damaged some primary buds and reduced harvest size. The mild growing season was beneficial for extended hangtime later in the season, and rich phenolic development.
Oak Regimen: 30% New French Oak, Balance in stainless steel.
Tasting Note: Tropical aromas of ripe pineapple and vanilla cream greet the nose, while flavors of toasted oak combine with fresh apple crumble to deliver a bright balanced finish. Beautiful with seafood, light pasta dishes, and spicy Southeast Asian cuisine.
