Wine & Art Series: Landscapes Of Maryland

As a part of our continued “Wine and Art Series”, Links Bridge Vineyards is hosting an exhibit of artwork by Phil LeVee. For a memorable afternoon with friends, enjoy the wine and enjoy the art!

This exhibit is exquisite in its beauty and will thrill visitors with the artist’s command of technique and style. Presented are a selection of original paintings inspired by the farms, rural fields, rolling hills and landscapes of Frederick County. Also included are iconic Maryland Main Street and Chesapeake Bay scenes. Incredibly versatile, LeVee paints in several styles from a graphic realist style to abstract and various combinations of those two. In an interview for an article in the Eastern Shore Publication Attraction Magazine, he explained “I usually paint from my own photography and often make small changes to the scene. I tend to simplify the scene a bit and intensify the colors. Whereas the photograph records the scene as it is, the paintings tend to reflect my memory of the moment and more of what I felt when I was there.” 

LeVee is a professional landscape artist working in acrylics, photography, and pen and ink. A graduate of the University of Maryland with a degree in visual communications, he has worked for 35 years in the commercial world, directing marketing and advertising. Today he has formed his own company, Phil LeVee Art & Photography, producing artwork for commercial and individual clients.
