Are you a "rye guy" (or gal!)? If so, don't miss the August session of our monthly whiskey tasting series that we call Whiskey Dram Sunday! Though perhaps not as widely hailed as bourbon here in America, rye whiskeys don't have their own loyal follow among though who like their whiskeys a little more on the "spiced" side of the flavor spectrum. And if that following includes you (or even if you'd like to just talk, taste, and learn more about rye), we'd love to have you join us for drinks on Sunday, August 30th at 4pm.

The last Sunday of the month is always a special day here at Vom Fass! That's when the whiskey glasses come out and the bottles get passed around for an "educational" look at whiskeys from around the world! As mentioned, we'll be focusing in on rye whiskeys in the month for August - which also just happens to be National Rye Whiskey Month. And you thought sending the kids back to school was the best part of the month?!?

If you've never been to a Whiskey Dram Sunday before please know these are laid-back, casual events where each attendee will begin with a guided tour through three different examples of the month's themed whiskey. As a group we discuss aromas and flavors, give a little history, and give you a few clues of what to look for when it comes to tasting rye whiskey. After that is complete, guests are invited to enjoy a full dram (1 1/2 oz) of just about anything they'd like from our wall of whiskeys and other spirits. Enjoy more rye, or slected a bourbon, Irish whiskey, brandy, tequila, rum, or liqueur to sip to help fight off the Sunday Scaries. Though eventually, we all have to go back to work Monday morning.

Tickets for the whiskey, knowledge, and probably a bad joke or two is just $20/person. Good luck getting this much quality spirit at a bar for the same price! If you find some great bottles, attendees will also receive a 10% discount off any bottles they choose to take home. Which might just last you until the next Whiskey Dram Sunday. Hey, we said might! No, you don't have to drink to have fun... but it helps!

Note: If you'd like to be seated with another group who has signed up separately, we'd be grateful if you inform us a day or two prior to the event. This really helps us out when it comes to planning the seating arraignment.

Refund Policy: If notified 72 hours or more before the event we are happy to provide guests with a full refund of your ticket price (Eventbrite will not refund any fees). If you should need to cancel in less than 72 hours, we can either roll your tickets over into a different event or offer you a store credit for the ticket price (which will not include Eventbrite fees).
