October is Virginia Wine Month, which began in 1988 as a way to support the state’s young wine business – with just 40 wineries at the time – and promote travel to Virginia wine country. Today, Virginia ranks fifth in the number of wineries in the nation with more than 300 wineries and countless award-winning vineyards.

We consistently feature Virginia wines by the glass, and bottle at L'Auberge Chez François and are proud to participate in honoring Virginia Wines and their winemakers this October.

Chef Jacques Haeringer and the team at L’Auberge Chez François invite you to join us Saturday, October 10th to sample nine wines from Virginia, presented by Liz Van Wazer of Williams Corner Wines, Ben Jumper of Winebow Fine Wines and Alex Bardsley, our sommelier at L’Auberge Chez François.

Enjoy a walk-around tasting of these fine wines Virginia Wines accompanied by Chef Jacques’ seasonal canapés. Featured producers will include Michael Shaps, Matthieu Finot, Veritas, Chrysalis, Glen Manor, Stinson, Barboursville and Early Mountain.

Please join us any time between 11:30 am and 1:00 pm for the tasting, followed by our four-course seasonal luncheon paired with a glass of delectable Virginia wine, of course.
