Local Event
A San Diego Wine Week Event
San Diego’s wine country is hiding in plain sight, just 30 minutes from your front door. More than 100 wineries are tucked into the rolling hills of the county. Most locals have never experienced it this way.
This dinner changes that.
Join us at Cordiano Winery in Highland Valley, where the landscape opens wide and the evening light settles over the vines. With its hillside views and old-world charm, the setting feels transportive—like stepping into a quiet corner of Italy, right here in San Diego.
This evening is designed to bring the region’s hidden terroir into focus.
A curated group of winemakers will be on site, pouring their wines personally and sharing the stories behind each bottle—stories shaped by this land, this climate, and this community. You won’t just taste the wine, you’ll meet the people who made it.
On the plate, Chef Coral Strong of Garden Kitchen builds each course around what’s being harvested now, drawing from some of San Diego’s most thoughtful farms and producers. Expect hyper-seasonal ingredients sourced from partners including Three Sons Farm, Thompson Heritage Ranch, Stehly Farms, Tutti Frutti Farms, and local grower Jack Ford—each contributing to a menu that reflects the land in real time.
Together, the food and wine tell a singular story: everything grown, raised, and crafted within miles of each other, coming together at one table.
Arrive early to take a guided walk through the vineyard and settle into the rhythm of the evening as the sun sets.
This is more than a dinner—it’s an invitation to rediscover San Diego as a wine region, and to experience the depth, beauty, and potential that have quietly been here all along.
This is the first in a series. The people who discover it tend to become regulars.
Seats are limited. Reserve yours before they’re gone.
VIP ExperienceThis is the part of the evening most guests won’t see.
Before dinner begins, a small group of VIP guests will gather in Cordiano’s cellar for an intimate, behind-the-scenes experience—private tastings with the winemakers themselves, featuring bottles from their personal collections.
Not the standard tasting room lineup—these are limited releases, award-winning selections, and personal favorites, each poured and shared directly by the people who crafted them.
Over curated bites, you’ll taste, ask questions, and connect in a setting that feels both rare and deeply personal—an experience that turns an already memorable evening into something unforgettable.
VIP doors open at 5:00 PM. Space is extremely limited.
