We’ve been busy behind the scenes, and we’re finally ready to give you a sneak peek of what we’ve been cooking up: Top of New York Pizza (T.O.N.Y.).
It started when a line from “Mona Lisa” by Slick Rick: “sit down eat your slice of pizza and be quiet” popped in Stretch Armstrong’s head, sparking the idea: a pizzeria rooted in New York culture, built around the slice that fueled so many of our early days.
From there, Stretch Armstrong teamed up with longtime friend Manny Del Castillo to bring it to life, not as just another slice shop, but something familiar, done with real care and purpose.
To make that vision real, we partnered with Chef Albert Di Meglio, known to many as the founding chef of Rubirosa and the chef/partner of Barano, which he’s led for over a decade.
Together, we’ve been dialing in the T.O.N.Y. approach, classic New York slices, made with precision, quality ingredients, and a deeper respect for the craft.
