Embark with us on a journey to Alsace, one of France's most enchanting and distinctive wine regions, where French and German influences come together to create wines of remarkable character and elegance. Located in the foothills of the Vosges Mountains, Alsace enjoys a unique climate and diverse soils that produce some of the world's finest aromatic wines.

In this in-depth class, you'll explore the history, geography, and winemaking traditions that have shaped Alsace for centuries. Learn how the region's varied terroir, cool climate, and dedication to single-varietal wines contribute to their exceptional quality and expressive flavors. We'll discuss the region's most important grape varieties—including Riesling, Gewürztraminer, Pinot Gris, Muscat, Pinot Blanc, Sylvaner, and Pinot Noir—and examine what makes each one unique in style.

You will get an opportunity to discover the significance of Alsace's Grand Cru vineyards, and late-harvest wines, that have become favorites around the world. Along the way, we'll demystify wine labels, explore the region's appellation system, and discuss how producers balance tradition with modern winemaking techniques.

Whether you're a curious beginner or an experienced wine enthusiast, this class will help you better understand Alsatian wines, and appreciate the remarkable diversity found within this region.
