The Sea by Alexander’s Steakhouse to Host an Educational Wine Dinner
The Sea by Alexander’s Steakhouse in Palo Alto has announced an Educational Wine Dinner hosted by Wine Director Max Klassen on Friday, May 1 beginning at 6:00 PM, to showcase the pairing of white wine and seafood. More than a dinner, this will be a guided exploration of terroir, technique, and taste. Details and tickets are available via https://www.exploretock.com/theseausa/checkout/confirm-purchase.
The refined five-course tasting menu by Chef Yu Min Lin, with tickets starting at $269, will be thoughtfully paired with a curated selection of exceptional, often-overlooked white wines from some of France's most iconic red wine regions: Burgundy, the Rhône Valley, and Bordeaux. Each course, from pristine Japanese Red Snapper Sashimi to delicate Maine Scallops and Alaskan Halibut Meunière, has been designed to highlight the nuance of these remarkable wines.
The Sea is the Bay Area's premier seafood dining destination. The restaurant’s distinguished menu is prepared using modern techniques and flair paired with a Japanese sensibility. Highlights of the upscale, contemporary design of the 148-seat dining room include a color scheme of white, light blues and grays, mirror accents, and a white Caesarstone bar top with white leather barstools. An outdoor patio has room for 50. The bar offers a substantial selection of contemporary, classic and original cocktails. The international wine list includes more than 300 vintages, with about 17 available by the glass.
The Sea by Alexander’s Steakhouse is located at 4269 El Camino Real in the historic Dinah's Garden Hotel, between Deodar Street and Dinah's Court, in Palo Alto, California. For more information or for reservations, which can also be made via OpenTable.com, call (650) 213-1111. The web address is theseaUSA.com.
