The Alumni Series: Chef Ben Ing

Coming all the way from Australia to further our Alumni Series is Chef Ben Ing, Chef and Co-Owner of Alberta's in Busselton, a creative hub where he and his partner Kirsty share knowledge through workshops, events, pop-ups, and more.

A Canadian native, Chef Ben's culinary journey began in Ottawa before it led him to EMP, where he worked as a Chef de Partie from 2012 to 2013. From there, he relocated to Copenhagen to work for some of the world's best restaurants, traversing the globe for pop-ups as he did. It was during these travels that he picked up a deep love for Australian cuisine and made the decision to move to the continent.

Today, this love informs his cooking, which balances simplicity with meticulous attention to detail and brings hyper-seasonal, locally sourced produce to the forefront.

We're thrilled to welcome Chef Ben back to EMP for a special dinner in our Private Dining Room.
