Beneficiary Spotlight: Feeding Empty Little Tummies (F.E.L.T.)

Feeding Empty Little Tummies (F.E.L.T.) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to supporting Manatee County’s most vulnerable children providing nutritious meals to homeless and food-insecure students, one backpack at a time.

What started in 2010 with just three schools has grown into a powerful community effort. Today, F.E.L.T. serves 58 schools and over 1,600 children, ensuring that students facing unimaginable challenges still have access to food when they need it most.

Behind every backpack is a child who may be living in a motel, a car, a shelter or simply without consistent access to meals. F.E.L.T. steps in quietly, consistently, and compassionately to make sure they’re not forgotten.

This is more than food. It’s dignity, stability, and care during some of life’s hardest moments.
