Tartufino Privé started with one idea: this is not a restaurant, it’s our home.
Winner of Eater SF’s Best Pop-Up 2025 and selected as a special vendor at the SF Chronicle’s Top 100 Restaurants, Chef Shawn Phillips brings that same spirit into our private residence — an evening shaped by the coastal kitchens of Spain, the trattorias of Italy, and the soulful traditions that have shaped his culinary life.
There’s no host stand, no dining room built for turnover. Just a small table set for a handful of guests, a kitchen that’s usually private, and a chef cooking the way he’d cook for people he actually wants to feed. When you walk through the door, you’re a guest in our house — not a customer in a restaurant.
Expect a multi-course menu, prepared and plated right in front of you, shaped by whatever’s good this week and the chef’s instincts for the night. No printed menu, no substitutions — you let the chef cook, the way you would if a friend invited you over.
The Experience
• Limited to 10 guests per evening each seatings — 5:00 PM or 7:30 PM. Please arrive on time, as the menu is timed to the group.
• Multi-course menu, chef’s choice — let him cook!
• Exact address shared only upon confirmed reservation — after all, it’s our home, not a venue (general area: Whitman Station).
• A $25 deposit per person is required to reserve your seat
Good to know:
Because you’re a guest in a home and not a venue, we ask that you treat the space with the same care you’d want shown in yours.
Please let us know of any allergies or dietary restrictions in advance — last-minute requests are difficult to accommodate once the evening is underway.
Reserve your seat — space is limited to keep the evening intimate.
