Enjoy a special Cabernet Sauvignon tasting as Paul Wagner interviews Richard Mendelson about his new book, Cabernet Sauvignon: The Love Affair that Built the Napa Valley.
Award-winning author Richard Mendelson traces how Cabernet Sauvignon transformed Napa Valley from a quiet agricultural region into America’s premier wine-growing destination. Blending history, culture, and personal stories, Cabernet Sauvignon: The Love Affair that Built the Napa Valley chronicles the visionaries who shaped Napa’s legacy and those working to protect its future.
The tasting will feature wines from two historic Napa Valley wineries featured in the book, Inglenook and Beaulieu Vineyard. We will be joined by Inglenook Senior Associate Winemaker Jonathan Tyer and BV General Manager/Senior Winemaker Nate Weis, who will present the wines and share their perspectives on Cabernet Sauvignon’s enduring role in Napa Valley.
