Bloom Ranch Guest Notice
Welcome to Bloom Ranch. As a working agricultural ranch, our property includes natural terrain, dirt and rocky roads, and active farm environments. For your safety and comfort, we kindly ask all guests to move with awareness and exercise care while exploring the grounds.
HEAT ADVISORY: KNOW BEFORE YOU GO
Bloom Ranch sits in the high desert at roughly 2,700 feet. Summer afternoons regularly run between 95 and 105 degrees, the sun is direct, and natural shade is limited across a working 254 acre farm. The heat here is dry, which means you will lose water faster than you feel it. Plan accordingly and you will have a great day.
HYDRATE BEFORE YOU ARRIVE
Start drinking water the night before and the morning of. Bring a refillable bottle. Water refill stations are located in the store and in the brunch space. If you wait until you feel thirsty, you are already behind.
DRESS FOR THE DESERT, NOT THE PHOTO
• Light colored, loose, breathable fabrics. Long sleeves in lightweight material beat bare arms out here.
• Wide brim hat and sunglasses.
• SPF 30 or higher, applied before arrival and reapplied every two hours.
• Closed toe shoes with real soles. This is a working farm with gravel, uneven ground, and dirt that holds serious heat.
WATCH FOR HEAT ILLNESS
Dizziness, headache, nausea, muscle cramps, clammy skin, unusual fatigue, or confusion are all signals to stop, get to shade, and drink water. Notify any Bloom Ranch team member immediately if you or someone in your group is struggling. We would rather check on you early than treat you later.
EXTRA CARE FOR SOME GUESTS
Children, older adults, pregnant guests, and anyone with a heart condition, respiratory condition, or medication that affects heat tolerance should take shade breaks more often and keep water close.
LEAVE PETS AT HOME
Ground temperatures on the property can burn paws, and shaded relief is limited. Service animals are welcome.
NEVER LEAVE CHILDREN OR PETS IN A VEHICLE
Interior temperatures climb to dangerous levels within minutes, even with windows cracked.
WHAT WE RECOMMEND BRINGING
Refillable water bottle, hat, sunscreen, sunglasses, closed toe shoes, a cooling towel, and a small cooler for anything you purchase from the farm store.
