Spring Into Summer With 10 Great Wines!

This Saturday from noon-4pm, come check out a double tasting of wines to help you Spring into summer. CBC staff have picked and will pour 10 wines perfect for the season - and guaranteed to have multiple winners for every palate and preference. It's free and no RSVP is required. Just bring yourself and some friends by the shop from noon-4pm and check out what's open to taste. Oh, and enjoy some pretty discounts, too!

If you're like us, May is one of your favorite months in the DMV - at least if you don't have allergies and/or your antihistamine is working. We still get plenty of comfortable springtime temperatures and the occasional hints of the summery, beach and pool-friendly, weather to come.

As you know too well, this has been an "unusual" spring season here in Washington, so Bryan and the team have picked out some not at all usual selections for you. We'll be pouring:

Dom Maison Cremant de Loire Brut NV - Chenin Blanc bubbles from the Loire with an irresistible earthy base note (and low price).

Miguel Torres Pais Rose Brut Estelado NV - Old meets new in crisp, dry, fizzy pink wine made from 100+ year-old plantings of the oldest wine grape in the New World.

Lasalde Elkartea Balea Blanco Txakoli 2025 - Like small plate grazing? The Basque people are masters of it. This is what they drink with pintxos (tapas) of all kinds.

Andriano Pinot Grigio Alto Adige 2024 - Pinot Grigio isn't surprising; one with this much zesty energy, texture and flavor is close to shocking.

La Comarcal Delmoro Tinto 2023 - No oak, no Tempranillo. Instead a playful Valencia red that leads with ripe Garnacha (80%) fruit balanced by a touch of savory complexity from Syrah (20%).
