Curious about sourdough but not sure where to begin? Join Catherine St. John of Catherine’s Homebaked for a relaxed, demonstration-style introduction to making sourdough bread at home.

Catherine will take you through the entire process from maintaining a healthy starter to mixing dough, building gluten strength with coil folds, understanding fermentation, shaping, bulk fermentation, cold fermentation.

A visual slideshow will show each stage of the process, including what your dough and finished loaf will look like.

And because talking about bread without eating would just be cruel, samples from Catherine’s Homebaked will be served during the class.

Each participant will receive:

• Instructions for reactivating and feeding schedule
• Catherine’s basic sourdough bread recipe
• A beginner-friendly equipment list
• Printed class materials
• Access after class to the complete visual slide show used during the demonstration
