A trailblazer in the culinary world, Cora made television history as the first female Iron Chef on Food Network’s Iron Chef America and has since built a career as a chef, restaurateur, author, and television personality. Raised in a Greek-American family, she has long drawn inspiration from the Mediterranean flavors and traditions of her heritage, bringing a fresh, modern perspective to the food she grew up around.
For Aslanoglou, those traditions are equally personal. The Greek-born chef honed his craft in acclaimed kitchens around the world, including Michelin-starred Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons in the United Kingdom and Arzak in Spain, before bringing his culinary story to Miami. At Manoli, the Coconut Grove restaurant that bears his name, he looks to recipes passed down through generations, combining the warmth and simplicity of traditional Greek cooking with seasonal ingredients, fresh seafood, house-made pastas, grilled specialties, and familiar dishes reimagined through a Mediterranean lens.
For one night, Cora and Aslanoglou will bring their shared heritage and individual culinary journeys together for a multi-course menu that celebrates Greece from two distinct perspectives. Expect a dinner rooted in tradition but designed for today, where the flavors of the Mediterranean meet the creativity of two chefs who understand that some of the best meals begin with family.
Set at Manoli on Coconut Grove’s Main Highway, the evening channels the convivial spirit of Greek dining, where plates are meant to be shared, glasses raised, and dinner never rushed. Come ready to experience Greece by way of the Grove—and don’t be surprised if the night ends with a Ya Mas!
