Mottai’s Brian Nasajon and Hiroshi Shintaku welcome acclaimed chef Shota Nakajima for an extraordinary collaboration at The Plaza Coral Gables. A Miami native and longtime South Florida chef, Nasajon leads culinary development at Mottai, bringing an ingredient-driven approach and deep connection to Miami’s evolving dining scene. At Mottai’s sushi counter, Hiroshi Shintaku draws on more than a decade of experience to showcase the discipline, precision and artistry of Japanese sushi. Joining them is Nakajima, the celebrated chef behind Taku and a three-time James Beard Award finalist for Best Chef: Northwest, whose cooking blends Japanese tradition with his playful, modern perspective.

Together, these three talents will create a multi-course dinner that brings together Japanese technique, inventive flavors and distinct culinary perspectives.
