ike you, we especially love wines from small estates and hands-on winegrowers. Often working in spaces not too much bigger than a two-car garage, these artisans are at a scale that allows them to focus on each plot of vines, each fermenter, tank and barrel, and on capturing the essence of place in every bottle they sell.

Usually, that kind of micro-production and intense attention also means paying a bit more. But this Saturday, noon-4pm, swing by CBC to try five wines from four small producers and enjoy both the wines and your surprise at the very nice savings! We’ll be pouring:

Marangona Chiaretto Riviera Del Garda Classico 2025 – “Riviera del Garda” means the southern coast of Italy’s Lake Garda. “Chiaretto” means a rosé of native grapes: here Gropello, Marzemino, Barbera and Sangiovese. “Marangona” means, “holy cow, this is delicious!”

Fontanavecchia Falanghina Taburno del Sannio 2024 – We’re nearing the end of the vintage for Campania’s most decorated Falanghina, earning “Tre Bicchieri” yet again this year. Sleek, crunchy, bold in fruit and salty on the finish, it’s a perfect summer white.

Evesham Wood Pinot Noir Willamette Valley 2024 – The single best value in Willamette Valley Pinot Noir I’ve seen in 20 years in the wine trade. The 94 point praise and $22.98 best price impress. But what you’ll taste from your glass will bowl you over.

Evesham Wood Pinot Noir Temperance Hill 2022 – Maybe the most distinctive vineyard in the entire Willamette Valley, Temperance Hill delivers Pinot with very Burgundian levels of minerality and savory forest floor notes and just-right New World fruit. This is a classic.

Enfield Club Catalanes California Red 2023 – When you see a tiny production California red like this from a kind of culty winemaker, the $40+ price tag is kind of assumed. But John Lockwood wants people to actually drink his work, so this delicious Rhone-style red is just $21.98. While it lasts.

We’ll have a treat or two from the cheese case out to sample with the wines and you’ll enjoy best six-bottle or more savings on the Marangona and Evesham Wood wines on a mix/match basis during the tasting. Come enjoy big flavors and big savings and the big dedication of theses small estates!
