This is not your grandmother’s tea tasting! A first-of-its-kind experience for the series, this guided tea tasting introduces guests to Smith Teamaker — the iconic Portland, Oregon brand created by Steven Smith, who is credited with pioneering America’s specialty tea movement, and the featured teas at Lucky Goat Coffee Co. cafes. 

Christina first discovered Smith Teamaker at the brand’s intimate Portland tasting room over a decade ago, and has been an unofficial ambassador of the brand ever since, featuring an exclusive behind-the-scenes Smith Teamaker visit as part of the 2025 Sip + Savor Summer Camp itinerary. Discovering that Lucky Goat Coffee cafes served Smith Teas was lucky indeed!

Guests will explore three signature Smith Teamaker blends paired with freshly baked scones created especially for this event by Orlando Scone Co. — a one-woman artisan bakery whose flavors range from classic British to a wide variety of sweet and savory options like peach-almond and jalapeño cheddar — served alongside specialty jams and preserves sourced from Southern Oregon. 

Because every tea tasting must include a decadent sweet treat, Chiffon Culture’s legendary croissant creations round out the pairing table. The Winter Springs Asian bakery provides the majority of baked goods in the case at Lucky Goat Coffee in Celebration Place.
