We're back with Scott Rutkowski of Candid Wines to explore the diverse landscape of Skin-Contact wines.
A fan of Rosé, but intimidated by Orange wines? We will step into a world of texture and complexity as we explore the ancient and modern techniques behind skin-contact winemaking. This tasting will feature a curated flight of six wines, including both vibrant Rosés and intriguing Orange wines. We will delve into how the time spent on the grape skins influences color, aroma, and mouthfeel, revealing a spectrum of flavors from delicate red fruits to floral and tropical. From juicy watermelon to tea-like tannins. While the process can be similar, the results can also be astoundingly unique!
The tasting should run from 4-6pm. The full dinner menu will be available at 5pm, but we will provide some snacks along the way as well!
