Local Event
Join No Wine Left Behind as we bring Sip School to Chito Gvrito, the beloved woman‑owned Georgian restaurant in Gramercy, for an afternoon that blends wine, culture, and serious hospitality.
This special edition features Ruso Chochishvili of Kapistoni Winery — a seventh‑generation Georgian winemaker whose family has been crafting wine for over two centuries. Ruso will be co‑hosting the tasting in person, guiding you through a flight of three indigenous‑grape Georgian wines, each made in the traditional qvevri method.
And because this is No Wine Left Behind, we’re not just tasting — we’re playing. You’ll take part in a gamified blind wine tasting (multiple choice!) featuring Ruso’s wines. Guess the grape, the region, the style, and more. Friendly competition encouraged.
What to expectChito Gvrito’s kitchen is the real deal. Come early for lunch or stay late for dinner — khachapuri, khinkali, and qvevri wine are a trio you don’t rush.
