On Thursday, April 9 from 6:30 to 9 p.m., the Scottsdale Gallery Association (SGA) presents A Sip of Spring Gold Palette ArtWalk, throughout the Scottsdale Arts District, which runs along Main Street from Scottsdale Road to Goldwater Boulevard and north of Indian School Road on Marshall Way to 5th Avenue.

As patrons amble throughout the Scottsdale Arts District, they can expect live music and special exhibitions celebrating the A Sip of Spring theme within participating SGA member galleries. Guests can also enjoy special tastings offered at Jamie’s Bottle Shop and Aridus Scottsdale Tasting Room.

“Now is the time to step out in Old Town and enjoy the beautiful weather and the amazing galleries, wine rooms and restaurants throughout the Scottsdale Arts District,” said SGA President Jinger Richardson. “Our A Sip of Spring Gold Palette ArtWalk raises a glass to all the wonderful themes the season brings with it — renewal, hope, optimism, growth, awakening and connection to nature.”

Scottsdale Gallery Association members are featuring the following A Sip of Spring exhibitions and experiences within their galleries:

Anticus Fine Art

3922 N. Scottsdale Rd.

The gallery presents an intimate artist’s reception and meet and greet with acclaimed wood artist Dave Barkby. Internationally recognized for his extraordinary lathe-turned burl wood wall sculptures, Barkby transforms rare natural burls into striking, one-of-a-kind works that celebrate the beauty and character of wood. Guests are invited to spend the evening meeting the artist, exploring his remarkable craftsmanship and enjoying wine and chocolate in a warm, romantic gallery setting as nature, art and conversation come together for a memorable night.

The Marshall Gallery

7106 E. Main St.

The works of Neil Myers, Carole Estes, Natasha Isenhour and BC Nowlin will be highlighted in “Spring Solace: Ghost Towns and Gardens.” This exhibition explores the quiet beauty of the abandoned and blooming, with an artist meet and greet during the ArtWalk. The featured works move between weathered architecture and vibrant gardens, capturing moments where time stands still and renewal takes root.

Quan’tum Art, Inc.

7077 E. Main St., #16

In celebration of the ArtWalk, Quan’tum Art, Inc. will offer refreshments and feature original modern artwork ready to hang in any home or business. The artists will be present for a lively and social meet and greet.

Scottsdale Art Auction Showroom

7176 E. Main St.

In advance of the two-day Scottsdale Art Auction, which takes place Friday, April 10 and Saturday, April 11, the Scottsdale Art Auction showroom will be open to the public for previewing during the ArtWalk. Highlights of the auction include a distinguished grouping of paintings by Nicolai Fechin (1881–1955), alongside a lifetime collection of paintings and drawings by legendary Western artist and illustrator Will James.

The Signature Gallery

7177 E. Main St.

The Signature Gallery will host a special artist reception celebrating internationally acclaimed painter Robert Hagan during the ArtWalk. Born in Australia, Hagan developed a deep fascination with the mythology and spirit of the American West, which has become a defining subject in his work. His paintings are celebrated for their vibrant color harmonies, fluid brushwork and atmospheric compositions that capture the romance, mystery and emotional depth of Western life. Guests are invited to experience Hagan’s latest collection of original oil paintings while enjoying a festive reception featuring live music, a spread of light bites and refreshments.

Wilde Meyer Gallery

4142 N. Marshall Way

It’s a spring fling at Wilde Meyer Gallery! The gallery invites art lovers to celebrate spring with wonderful new paintings and sculpture, and view a group show featuring many talented artists, including Karen Bezuidenhout, Stephen Morath, Peggy McGivern, Lydia Gatzow and more. Light refreshments will be served during this celebratory reception.

Held nearly every Thursday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. in partnership with the city of Scottsdale, the Scottsdale Gallery Association’s weekly ArtWalk highlights the finest art in Scottsdale, featured throughout more than 30 galleries and two museums: Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art and Western Spirit: Scottsdale’s Museum of the West.

In addition, the SGA’s Gold Palette ArtWalks take place multiple times throughout the year, featuring extended hours, a dedicated theme that often aligns with citywide events and specialty activities including entertainment, refreshments, demonstrations and more.
