Ladies, this one's for you! Join us on Friday, April 17th for a girls night out featuring sake & sushi! Your ticket will include a tasting of six different types of sake, sushi, and access to the normally private, AHYP Club and its various lounges. Enjoy some great sake and tasty sushi in one of Pittsburgh's best kept secret venues - the AHYP!SakesGekkeikan Black and Gold Sake: a unique blend of two sakés carefully selected from saké made with rice milled to 60% and 70 % by our sake master for a rich, complex saké. Full-bodied with hints of honeydew, papaya, anise and roasted nuts.
Choya Plum Wine Umeshu: a premium plum wine imported from Japan with real Ume-plum fruits in the bottle. Umeshu is a traditional Japanese aperitif/dessert wine. Enjoy Umeshu on the rocks, Umeshu tonic or simply pour small amount of Umeshu over vanilla ice cream to enjoy a unique Ume flavored dessert.
Tozai Blossom Of Peace Plum Sake Kyoto: aromas of almond and marzipan followed by plum, apricot and cherry on the palate. The soft tartness and acidity balance the finish with a slightly sweet smoothness.
Shimizu No Mai Pure Dusk Junmai Daiginjo Sake: delicate structure with hints of fresh orange peel. Dry finish.
SOTO Junmai Daiginjo Sake Niigata: full-bodied and creamy on the palate, with aromas of gala apple, flavors of melon and cucumber, and a crisp, clean finish. Our Premium Junmai Daiginjo is as versatile as any wine. From savory to salty foods. Discover the freshness of SOTO Saké.
Gekkeikan Horin: this long-standing flagship premium brand is crafted with utmost care and precision. Two sake rice varieties, Yamada Nishiki — also known as the “king” of sake rice varieties — and Gohyakumangoku, are expertly blended during the brewing process to create this luxurious Junmai Daiginjo sake with a beautiful fruity nose. Its subtle flavors are well-balanced, and it's exceptionally smooth with a long, clean finish. Best served in a wine glass to appreciate the green apple, melon and pear aromas.
SushiNote: This will be a laid back affair. Sushi and sake in a cool environment. We're not experts on anything but the cool environment so this experience will be at your own pace, rather than someone guiding you through each sake.
