On November 11, Williams Selyem and Plotline will host our first joint open house tasting in Charleston. We rarely have the chance to share our wines in this kind of setting, and we’re looking forward to an evening where you can wander, taste, ask questions, and spend time with the people behind the bottles.

Philip O’Conor of Williams Selyem will pour six wines from the excellent 2023 vintage, including a Chardonnay, three Pinot Noirs, a Zinfandel, and a Cabernet Sauvignon. Tasting the Pinots side by side offers a wonderful glimpse into how different vineyards and regions shape the grape. Think of it as an informal Pinot Noir masterclass, with plenty of time to revisit your favorites.

John LaCour, proprietor of Plotline, will pour his Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Sémillon. John makes each choice, from vineyard to barrel, with purpose, creating wines that prize balance and nuance. He’ll be there to share the thinking behind the wines and, more importantly, to enjoy them with you.

Together, we’ll offer a generous taste of California Wines in a relaxed, walk-around setting, with small bites throughout the evening.
