On Thursday, February 13 from 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and through Saturday, February 15, French Designer Jeweler is pleased to showcase new and one-of-a-kind works from Peter Schmid for Atelier Zobel. Considered to be one of the major contemporary talents in the Studio Jewelry movement, Schmid creates flamboyant, dramatic precious jewelry that combines wearable forms with a theatrical, larger-than-life esthetic.
Each piece of wearable fine art represents Schmid’s interaction of visual elements with invisible inspiration, his attention to detail for which he is known the world over, as well as his signature fusion of fine gold and silver, gemstone settings, and the fluid movement that is frozen in time through his art. Taking great pride in the craftsmanship and the originality, this master of the Studio Jewelry movement will be on-hand to talk about his inspiration for these latest works including the character of place, the character of material, and even the character of intent.
