Hands-On Southern Italian Pasta Workshop — No Experience Required!
This event is limited to residents of the GlenRiddle Community.
Get your hands in the dough—and then enjoy a pasta dinner!
In this fun, hands-on workshop, participants will learn the basics of rustic Southern Italian pasta making and create approximately 8 ounces of fresh, hand-formed pasta—enough for two servings—to take home.
Chef Laurie will begin with a brief demonstration of how traditional Southern Italian pasta dough is made. Participants will then work with pre-made dough as they learn to shape several classic regional pasta shapes using their hands and a few simple tools.
No eggs, no pasta machines, and no special equipment are needed—just your hands and a willingness to have fun!
And there's dinner! At the end of the workshop, participants will sit down to enjoy a fresh pasta dinner, with a choice of sauce.
Each participant will also leave with their freshly hand-formed pasta to take home, along with cooking and storage instructions.
The workshop is led by Chef Laurie Boucher (@baltimorehomecook), former Pasta Chef at Café Campli and owner of Pasta Made Simple, which offers private in-home pasta classes, group workshops, team-building events, and more.
