Founded in 2016, Newfound Wines is the passion project of industry veterans Matt Naumann and Audra Chapman, who left Napa Valley for the rugged beauty of the Sierra Foothills to become first-generation grape growers. After more than a decade at Failla Wines, Matt embraced a nature-led philosophy at their High View Vineyard, farming with regenerative practices such as goat grazing and native cover crops to restore the region’s volcanic and granitic soils.

Audra, whose background includes leadership roles at Hourglass and experience as a sommelier, brings a sharp eye for both quality and storytelling. Together, they champion Mediterranean varieties like Grenache and Carignane, crafting elegant, low-intervention wines that speak transparently of place. The result is a collection that bridges the wild character of foothills viticulture with refined, thoughtful winemaking — all at remarkably approachable prices.
