Elevate your evening at Madison Beach Hotel with Napa’s North Star, an Epicurean Dinner celebrating the timeless elegance of Duckhorn Vineyards. Since 1976, Duckhorn has been a cornerstone of Napa Valley, serving as a beacon of quality and pioneering the luxury Merlot that defined a generation of American winemaking.

Executive Chef Christophe Santos has designed a curated multi-course menu that honors the structure and complexity of these storied varietals—from the bright, crisp notes of their Sauvignon Blanc to the velvety depth of their world-renowned reds. To bring the spirit of St. Helena to your glass, sommelier Dana Badway will share the history of this premier estate, guiding you through the nuanced profiles and artisan techniques that have made the "Duck" a symbol of excellence for nearly fifty years.

About Duckhorn's Winemaker

Renée Ary is one of the finest winemakers of her generation and a leader in the Napa Valley wine community. Named the fourth winemaker in Duckhorn's history in 2014, she combines the precision of a scientist, the intuition of an artist, and a deep respect for the viticultural side of winemaking. Raised on the East Coast, Renée studied chemistry and art at Saint Mary's College before honing her craft at Robert Mondavi Winery alongside winemaking luminary Genevieve Janssens. She joined Duckhorn Vineyards in 2003, rising through the ranks to become head winemaker in 2014.

Wine Pairing: Decoy Brut Rosé, California

Elegant and refreshing with notes of wild strawberry, citrus blossom, and crisp minerality. The lively mousse and bright acidity pair beautifully with seafood, fresh herbs, and lighter Mediterranean-inspired hors d’oeuvres.

First Course

Crispy Duck Confit Salad

poached pears • hazelnuts • frisée • whole grain mustard vinaigrette

Wine Pairing: Duckhorn Sauvignon Blanc – Napa Valley

Bright and expressive with grapefruit, citrus, and tropical fruit notes balanced by vibrant acidity. The wine cuts beautifully through the richness of duck confit while complementing the freshness of pear, frisée, and mustard vinaigrette.

Second Course

Seared Halibut

fingerling potatoes • white asparagus • brown lemon butter emulsion

Wine Pairing: Duckhorn Chardonnay – Napa Valley

Elegant and layered with notes of stone fruit, citrus, and subtle oak. The wine’s texture and balanced acidity complement the richness of halibut and brown butter while enhancing the freshness of asparagus and lemon.

Third Course

Point Reyes Toma Truffle Cheese

fig jam • homemade sourdough

Wine Pairing: Duckhorn Merlot – Napa Valley

Velvety and expressive with dark plum, black cherry, and soft spice. The Merlot pairs beautifully with earthy truffle notes, creamy cheese, and the sweetness of fig jam, creating warmth and depth.

Fourth Course

Olive Oil Cake

roasted apricot • mascarpone crema • pistachio

Wine Pairing: Duckhorn Cabernet Sauvignon – Napa Valley

Soft tannins and layered dark fruit provide a balanced finish alongside roasted apricot and olive oil cake. The wine’s richness complements the dessert without overpowering its delicate Mediterranean character.

A special dessert wine selection will be presented to conclude the evening experience.

PRICING:

Reception and Dinner : $150.00 inclusive per person, includes all food, wine pairings, gratuity and sales tax.

SEATING: Upon check out, please indicate your seating preferences and let us know if you are attending with a group, but purchasing tickets separately. We will do our best to accommodate all seating preferences. Seating is typically banquet-style accommodating 8 - 10 guests per table.
