join us for a unique night with the owner and winemaker of one of the most exciting wineries on mount etna in sicily, giuseppe russo.
we'll taste through multiple vintages and different contradas, all paired with avec chef dylan patel's dishes. It will be an amazing opportunity to taste these small-production wines and hear what makes volcanic terroir so special.
giuseppe russo had been studying to be a pianist when his father girolamo died unexpectedly in 2005. he then came back home to mount etna to take over the family vineyards. since that time, he has been organically farming these old vines, planted on ancient lava flows called ‘sciare,’ some of them more than 100 years old, making etheral burgundian-style reds from vineyards topping 1000m in altitude.
