Some of the best bottles on our shelves never make headlines. They come from small, family-run estates that make honest wine at honest prices, and they reach us through distributors who know those growers personally. Mission Wine Merchants is one of those, a small California wholesaler with a simple idea: work with producers whose wines truly express their place and traditions, keep the path from the cellar to your glass as short and transparent as possible, and offer real value at every price point. Much of their book is Spanish, sourced directly and through importers like Manekin Wine Company and Viña Franca.

Cory Gowan, Mission's general manager, will pour some of his favorites from the portfolio.
