Here is another popular grape that we haven’t visited in awhile. And wow – do we have a LOT of new ones! Cabernet Sauvignon produces a wine that has earned its spot as one of the richest and fullest-bodied red wines in the world. It is a “red wine drinkers” favorite. The grape is a cross between the white sauvignon blanc and the red cabernet franc and has its origins in the Bordeaux region of France. But Cabernet Sauvignon is now growing well in other incredible “terroirs” outside of Europe - the most noteworthy of which include Chile, Argentina, South Africa, Australia, and the United States! We will taste a variety of Cabs from around the world and sip them alongside some cabernet-friendly foods.
